Aeroshot, was it?

Aeroshot, was it?

Okay, another one.
Everybody’s Fine
"Frank wanted the holidays to be picture perfect. What he got was family."
No, I did not watch this just because of Sam Rockwell. I’m not that low. I’m… slightly upper, whatever that means. And I know it’s an old movie and I’m a bit late to the party.
This is basically a story about a man who recently lost his wife and wanted to reconnect with his 4 grown children, who live in 4 different cities. He wanted them to come home over the holiday but every single one cancelled last minute. So he decided to surprise them by coming to visit each of them instead.
He first visited David the artist in New York, waited for a long time in front of his apartment building but he wasn’t there. He then went to Amy the high-up in advertising agency’s house in Chicago. He stayed there for one night and forced to go because Amy said she was going on a business trip. He then continued his journey to Denver to visit his other son, Robert the conductor, where he had to face the fact that his son did not have time for him. He then bought a ticket to Las Vegas to visit his other daughter, Rosie.
A lot of things happened in between of those visits and after. I was 1 hr 11 minutes in when one of my friends said to me, “If this is your first time watching this, you should have a box of tissue ready. Wait, forget tissue, siapin kain pel, instead!” Go figure.

Okay, before I go back to my thesis…
The Way, Way Back
"We’ve all been there."
Watched this hours after I finished Thanks For Sharing, around 1am on New Years Day. I fell asleep. Not because the movie was boring. It was awesome. I was just tired. I’m gettin old and I can’t stay up as late as I want to anymore.
Over sharing. Moving on. I watched the remaining of the movie right after I woke up in the morning. I honestly thought it was a great movie. It was about and awkward 14 year-old Duncan (Liam James) who was forced to spend the summer with his mom, her jackass boyfriend and the boyfriend’s daughter. He wasn’t at all happy with the summer until he wandered around the city with ‘his’ bike and found a waterpark called Water Wizz. There, he found a friend in Owen (Sam Rockwell), the manager of the place. And then the fun - and trouble - begins.
Recommended movie. Cheers!

"Life is a journey you never have to take alone."
So I watched this on New Years Eve. Chose it because of MRuff and Gwyneth; and also because it was a light movie.
Well the movie was… meh. MRuff was the one reason i kept watching it ‘till it was finally over.
But I like the ‘24’ reference.

Dede: The salon where I work was pretty close.
Neil: Where is it? TELL ME!!
Dede: Damn dude, you just got all Jack Bauer on me!

So, cheers!
